Web 2.0 tools

I found a new tool that is absolutely fabulous. Takes still photos and creates a 3-d rendering of the scene. Check out Photosynth.. in order to view you may have to download and install Photosynth from here.. http://photosynth.net/default.aspx

This is from Microsoft labs. It only works on Windows XP and Vista right now but Mac should follow shortly. Check out the wedding, zoom in and out.

Carol, that website is great. For my techology prediction, I was going to try to predict the implemention of 3D photos. Google Earth 3D has some more capability to develop a 3D rendition of your photos.

I like the application but the issue I have with Photosynth Web 2.0 tool is that it is not backwards compatible to older operating systems Windows 2000. I understand the migration to latest and greatest operating system is the current trend, but as futurist and innovators in this technological world we must not forget the masses of people who are satisfied with the operating systems that meet and exceed their needs i.e., the Windows 3.1, 9x, ME, 2K, Mac OS 8 and 9. There is a lot to be said about stability in a system that meets your everyday specifications with minimal maintenance. The latest operating systems of Windows 7, XP (old in some views), Vista, Mac OS X, Linux and UNIX variants are striving to become the next innovation and rightly so stretch and expand the computing world possibilities. The moral of the story is that bleeding edge sometimes just leaves you on the side of the road bleeding as others pass you by.
